Utilizing the 64-bit NEXIS | FS file system, the E4 facilitates self-balancing media distribution, real-time media access, and dynamic disk protection, while supporting up to 8 million files. An embedded System Director tool allows users to manage the Avid NEXIS | E4. An optional upgrade can be used to expand client connections, file support, and system management. This media storage engine also features a redundant power supply as well as a 4 RU rackmount form factor for easy installation. The NEXIS | E4 Storage Engine supports 64-bit operating systems including Windows 7 and later, macOS 10.11 and later, and Linux Red Hat 6.5 and CentOS 7.3 to 7.5. The E4 also comes with Avid Elite Support Support.

Take advantage of the optional System Director Appliance for larger-scale deployments. This upgrade allows up to 330 active client connections and expands support to up to 20 million files.
