OWC ThunderBay 4 Mini Four-Bay Thunderbolt 3 RAID 5 Storage Enclosure Thunderbolt 3 Cable External Power Supply 2 x Keys for Front Panel Lock SoftRAID XT Software
Stretch your storage with the ThunderBay 4 Mini Four-Bay Thunderbolt 3 RAID 5 Storage Enclosure from OWC / Other World Computing. Featuring four 2.5'' drive bays, this RAID array supports HDDs and SSDs. Equipped with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, the ThunderBay 4 mini supports transfer speeds up to 1556 Mb/s when using RAID 5 with SSDs, allowing for quicker backups or daisy-chaining multiple arrays for extended storage. This array comes pre-formatted in RAID 5, but also supports RAID 0, 1, 10, and 4. The included software controller, SoftRAID XT, offers driver certification checks, email notifications, volume validation, and drive failure prediction. Even better, this software controller also allows for easy volume management, so you can choose what to use RAID volumes for and how much space is allocated for backup.
Compatible with Windows 10 and later, as well as MAC OS X 10.13 and later, the ThunderBay 4 mini allows independent volumes to be booted with macOS. Housed in black aluminum, the array features a locking front panel offering access to the individual bays, while the back panel includes a Kensington Security Slot. Air cooled, this array uses a single 60mm fan and is designed for operating temperatures between 41-95 degrees F. Measuring just 7.5'' long, the small form factor of the ThunderBay 4 mini is designed to fit desktops, racks, and DIT carts.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously.
Multiple RAID Levels
The ThunderBay 4 mini ships pre-configured in RAID 5. However, it also supports RAID 0, 1, 4, and 10 to accommodate your performance and redundancy needs.
Multi-Drive Capable
The two Thunderbolt 3 ports allow you to connect up to five additional arrays for increased storage capacity.
Performance Quality Check
Each ThunderBay 4 mini receives multiple hours of burn-in by OWC, intended to ensure each unit is performing to manufacturer standards.

Return
Most unopened items sold by Melrose Inc. in new condition and returned within 30 days will receive a refund or exchange. The return window for items sold online begins once the order has been invoiced. Invoicing happens when any part of the order is shipped, delivered by a courier service or made ready for pick up.
Software is not returnable and not refundable. All sales are final. This is generally part of all webcarts selling software. It is buyer beware. The reason for this is once an end-user customer sees a License Code then that code is 'spoiled' because they can use it to gain access to the software. Once a License Code is registered by a customer that product is available to that customer and therefore the code cannot be returned.
