On November 10, Blackmagic Design announced its advanced motion graphics and visual effects software, Fusion 7, is now available for Windows completely free of charge via download on their website!

"Now with Fusion 7 being available free of charge there is no limit to block anyone from creating world leading visual effects," Blackmagic said in their press release. "Blackmagic Design believes this will revolutionize the industry and consumers will be able to watch dramatically better feature films and television shows in the future."

The free version of Fusion 7 is not limited in features. It has a massive visual effects and motion graphics toolset that can be used for both personal and commercial work.

Fusion 7 features

  • an infinite 3D workspace
  • an easy to use node based workflow for quickly building unlimited effects
  • advanced 3D compositing, paint, rotoscope, retiming, stabilization, and titling
  • 3D particle generator and multiple keyers, including Primatte
  • ability to import and render 3D geometry and scenes from other applications as well as create from scratch.
