The National Association of Broadcasters, better known as NAB, opened its 2014 show to nearly 100,000 postproduction and broadcast professionals today at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

However, before the floor opened to manufacturers showcasing their latest and greatest software and hardware innovations, Avid held its inaugural Avid Connect event this past weekend at the Bellagio. Over a thousand attendees, including MelroseMAC leadership, were there to see the unveiling of Avid's vision for the postproduction and broadcast industry, called Avid Everywhere.

Avid Everywhere

Part of this plan included the revamping of its software platform with the introduction of MediaCentral, an open and modular foundation that simplifies workflows by integrating all of the its products into one, customizable ecosystem.

One of the best features of MediaCentral is that is does not require additonal software to access or use as it is built into most of the Avid products you own. For maximized efficiency, add services and components when you need them or turn them off when you dont.

Louis Hernandez, Jr, CEO and President of Avid presents MediaCentral as part of Avid Everywhere vision for the industry.
